Many people wish to publish their music scores on
the Internet and run up against the concepts of
server address, password, etc.. Here's the solution:
the User Space.
You will be able in a few clicks, to create your
personal space on the Internet and share your work.
 |
Note : Users Spaces are
reserved to registered users. If
you're evaluating the software,
you can see the already created
User Spaces on this page.

Creating your
User Space
|
 |
This is the first step and the most important. It
occurs only once and the question you have to answer
is: "What name
shall I give to my space?".
It won't be
possible to rename your User Space afterwards
and you must choose a clear and judicious name.
The name must not contain any accented characters,
space, or dot.
So, only letters, numbers are allowed, possibly
separated by a dash '-'.
Anyway, the forbidden characters not allowed can not
be typed in.
The name must consist of at least 4 characters and
not more than 64.
This name will be used to share the Internet address
of your site.
For example, if you choose the name "will-smith",
visitors will connect to your User Space typing in
the address bar of their Internet browser: "
http://will-smith.myriad-users.com".
First, navigate to your User Space setup from the
software via the system menu ( '?' on Windows,
'the name of the software( on Mac) "
Internet> Manage my User Space" or more directly
by the dedicated icon in the "Edit" palette.
A default name will be proposed. You can change it.
If the name is already taken by someone else a
suggestion will be made by our server.
Your User Space is now created on our server. It is
empty. We'll see how to fill it.
Publishing on
your User Space
|
 |
Activate, if not already done, the "Files" tab.
Right click the list to show the pop-up menu.
You can:
- Add files or entire folders, including
sub-folders.
- Create folders in your User Space
- Delete files and folders.
- Download files from your User Space to your
computer.
- Delete your entire User Space.
The allowed file typesare "myr" (or possibly.
"mus"), "mu3" and "mya".
Once the files are added, click "Preview" to view
your User Space in your browser.
If you make one (or more) mistakes you can go back
by clicking "Cancel". After confirmation, your User
Space is restored to its original state.
 |
Tip : If you publish a complete
tree (folder, sub-folders, files..) you can
update it by publishing it again. Only
modified files will be transferred.
If the sub-folder name begin with character
'(' it is skipped.
|
To each folder or file, you can attach a comment by
clicking on the area at the bottom of the window.
This comment will be displayed on the matching web
pages.
 |
Note : Be aware, some web
browsers keep visited pages in
cache. It is often necessary to
reload the page to see changes.
|
|
It belongs to you to make sure that you have the
rights to broadcast the files you propose on your
User Space.
Customizing your User
Space
|
 |

appear behind the message of the visitor and will be
displayed in a special way.
By the same menu, the messages will be edited or
deleted.

mind that readability is the key element that will
make your User Space attractive or not.

closest to that you want. Then click on "Edit".

highlighted when you hover them with the mouse.

the image.

reverse the contrast of your comments by clicking
"Inverted contrast for comments". The black text
will then be displayed in white.
Once your theme is complete, you can upload it via
the button "Download archive". The whole data will
be stored on your hard drive as an archive file with
a "tpl" extension.

that you can apply at your leisure via "Upload

listed in a directory:

unchecking this option will remove your User Space
from the directory.

engines, like Google, or anyone who knows your user
name.

the same software license, for example in the
context of a school or family use, you can

such as when someone reports a defect with a
document released in your User Space, we may contact
you via this address to solve the problem with you.

invalidated without notice.
• "Display Language". It is the language of the
"system" texts that are automatically added by our
server.
• "Download archive" and "Upload archive". You can
ask the server to send to you a backup of your
entire User Space. It will be saved on your hard
drive as a tgz (tar-gzip) archive. It will then be
possible to revert to a previous state if any
problem occurs. It is recommended to make copies at
regular intervals.

Space
|
 |
In fact not only one but two Users Spaces are at
your disposal:
- The User Space which is publicly accessible to
the whole world, for example:
http://didier-guillion.myriad-users.com/

persons knowing the password. You can set the
password in the "Advanced" tab. The private User
Space address will be, for instance:
http://didier-guillion.myriad-users.com/private

look.
When a visitor connects to your private User Space,
a user name is requested as well as a password.
The username is "private" or left blank, the
password is whatever you have defined.
