Note : If the "Advanced" box is
checked, see the next section: Advanced Mode.
On the left, you can choose the material and shape.
On the right, you can adjust the dimensions (surface
area, thickness, and soundhole width).
At the bottom left, the overall volume of the
instrument (to balance levels with other
instruments).
At the bottom right, you can adjust the shape of the
soundhole and the color of the varnish.
All these settings except the color have an effect
on the instrument timbre.
Advanced Mode

The body of the instrument is configured as
follows:
A frequency response curve of the body (impulse
response) is displayed. This curve can be generated
either:
from an audio recording of a percussive hit on the
body (strings should not be resonating),
or from a longer recording that evenly covers the
full playable range of the instrument, either with
single notes, chords, or clusters.
The recording can be loaded using the "Load Impulse"
button.
This curve (shown in light blue) can be modified
using the right-hand "power" slider:
Higher values increase the contrast between loud and
quiet parts of the curve,
Lower values flatten it.
These values can then be further adjusted using an
equalizer curve. Specific frequency bands can be
boosted or reduced.
Click to add a point.
Click and drag an existing point to move it;
dragging it out of the zone will delete it.
The resulting frequency response curve, after all
adjustments, is shown in dark blue.
Clicking "Simplify" will remove the response
spectrum completely and approximate it through the
equalizer curve alone. The power slider then becomes
useless.
Clicking "Look" lets you select the shape and color
of the instrument as it appears in the menu.
However, in advanced mode, these adjustments have no
effect on sound.
