Video export in Harmony Assistant uses an external
program to generate the files. This program, which
is free, is called FFmpeg.
Downloading and installing FFmpeg
|
|
In order to allow Harmony Assistant to use
FFmpeg, you have to download and install it first .
Here is a simplified method provided:
A- For Windows (64-bit)
- Download this ZIP file
and double-click to open it.
- Drag the folder it contains to "C:\Program
Files" if you have access, otherwise to
a folder of your choice.
- In Harmony Assistant, if the location of
FFmpeg is not detected automatically, you will
need to manually select the executable program
"ffmpeg.exe" located in the "bin"
subfolder of the folder you copied.
B- For macOS
- Download this ZIP file
and double-click to open it.
- Copy the ffmpeg folder it contains to Applications.
C- For Linux
On some distributions, FFmpeg can be
installed via a command line (sudo apt-get...).
Refer to specific instructions for your system
to know where it is installed and be able to
provide the path if Harmony Assistant asks for
it.
