This is a very nice software but the bright colors bother my eyes. I hope you add dark theme mode soon...

Bueno.

I know of the dock being a bright color nuisance, but that's HA and not PDFtoMusic.

But why generalizing screens with a black background?

In the past (up to early 80's, the screens Always had a dark background, with light writings. This was on mainframes and the early PC's, most generally monochrome, but they were also color displays with a dark background.

Then we had some relief when the first full-color screens came up, that must have been around 1985.

Why going back to the dark ages?

Will one also require music scores with white notes and lyrics on a black background?
The only ones to which this would be beneficial are the toner producers, not to count other accessories which would have a shorter life cycle!

....TODAY, dark mode is very in demand by many users, but like you....you have option to stay with the standard bright....a score with adjustable background color is pleasant to the eyes.... for example, I prefer a mid to dark grey background with off white to white notes and bars...

White on black actually causes more eyestrain than black on white.  It is hard to provide enough contrast when the small letters are lighter than the vast dark background.
