Scanscore came out with a new version (https://scan-score.com/en/2019/11/21/scanscore-2-is-available/) and I was wondering if anyone has any thoughts on how this compares to myriad.

I DID trial it and almost bought, but not worth the price as-is.....though it has a very nice dark UI it doesn't scan as good as PDFtoMusic or Photoscore..... if they improve the scan engine
then would buy but not at this time...... i do hope the team
at Myriad consider adding or making their UI dark....

Could you explain why?
It seems dark interfaces are today’s fashion.
Do you write with white ink on black paper?
The only exception to me is displaying photos on black background.

If Scanscore 2 had very good scanning engine would have
gotten it versus PDFtoMusic Pro... it has a very good dark
UI.... not the score, but the UI.... another nice looking
score editor close to Scanscore 2 is MuseScore but poor
in scanning and poor in darkmode... Guitar Pro also has a nice darkmode editor.... many many software applications have dark themes, its easier on the eyes for people who work long hours on the screen, reduces eye strain...
