Installing latest trial version on iMac-4K Big Sur. Importing a valid pdf file(s) created from a score editor (Finale). Using Musescore to import the .xml file(s). Issues with the export to .xml. 1. the first page exported and opened in Musescore. the score created had multiple blank staffs for each measure. see attached pic. 2. Did not translate the instrument. Should be drum set. Not sure what it actually choose for the instrument? 3. The trial version as I understand will only export 1 page of multiple pages?

Hello, I don't know about MusicXML export in PdfToMusic, but I reported to Myriad developpers problems with drum staves in Harmony Assistant export. Should be linked. I didn't test recently the export, but I didn't see work in progress on that point on the blog and in numerous mails exchanged with them. You can submit your pdf file to Myriad team at info@myriad-online.com, for analysis, explaining your scenario : convert to MusicXML then open in MuseScore. So they will determinate if PdfToMusic had problem to read the drum staff, and/or, export it.

Hello, What you are showing is the pdf opened in pdftomusic screen or the actual .xml file? Attached is the version I'm using which is the latest i downloaded this week. As you can see in the screenshot also, the pdf does import correctly with 4 pages. Issue is when i export to .xml, does not display correctly Musescore is the only score editor i use.

| Oh shoot daah.. didnt notice the clef missing. All the pdfs they have are missing. But not an issue. I can just copy and paste into a new drum score . Do you get a clean output with not all the empty measures i indicated?

| Is the trial version the same as a purchased version? I’ll try the windows trial and see if results are different

Yes, both versions are the same. When you purchase, you don't need to download a new setup, all executables files stay the same. PdfToMusic is the same for all OSes. If I just open the pdf and export to musicXml, it says there are 1664 bars. So here is a first things I'm doing. Not sure of the result yet, see in next replies. Open the correction menu disable (untick) things that there are not present in your score (lyrics, group names...) enable (tick) things that are present on your score (tempi, dynamics, tuplets...) and last click on "staves and systems" in the first part of the menu. You'll then see systems S1, S2, S3... and staves called A, B, C.. meaning that PdfToMusic didn't recognized all staves are the same. For each staff not labelled "A", click the blue triangle, select "A" in the popup menu. To be continued...

Then, when I export as MusicXML, it says there is only one staff of 64 bars, which looks pretty good I opened the .xml in Harmony Assistant and then I can change the staff type from a "supposed" G clef staff to drum staff. It sounds 95% correct. Note that there are some "drumeo" watermarks that appears in diagonal of each page.

| That's promising. I downloaded the trial version for windows. Problem is exporting to xml is disabled. Why? the macos version is not disabled even though it doesn't work. Is it possible to forward the xml file so I can verify that the file will open in MuseScore? Before i purchase the Pro version, don't want to spend $49 and ends up exports to xml does not work with MuseScore. thankx for your help !!

"it doesn't work" ? - it does nothing like if it was disabled ? - or it's the problem you described (lot of empty bars and so on...) ? Did you understood what I did about options and staves? Here is the .xml in a zip file.
