Cordialement [English] Hi, Some users requested a change in Lute tablature notation. At present, frets are numbered "a,b,r,d,e,f". The "r" is used instead of "c" to avoid confusion with "e" in old handwritten score. The request is to use "a,b,c,d,e,f" instead. If some of you agree or disagree with this, write here or send me an email. Best regards

In the Renaissance period there could be confusion between"c" and "e" in the typefaces of the time. The "r" was used as an unusual shape of "c" to avoid sightreading problems. Those of us who often play from fascimiles of original works are comfortable with either character, as we automatically think of it as a "c". Logically it is a "c", and on balance I suuport this suggestion. Perhaps the ideal would be to offer a tab font with only the shape of the "c" changed. Regards Meic

Hi, All answers I receive from Lute player are in this direction. The notation will be "a,b,c,d,..." in the next program version. Thanks for your answer.
