generating add-on pages in existing gallery

When adding pics to existing gallery, it regenerates ALL of the pages. Is there a way to work around this so that it will generate only the NEW pages and leave the old intact? I have made changes to those existing pages that I do not want erased and it does that during the regeneration.

When a gallery is modified (comments edited, images removed, images added, order of images changed), all pages will be generated again. There is no way around it.

If you want to make changes to existing comments, best do that in the "Modify gallery" window. Comments edited there will be remembered.

If you want to make a specific change applied to all pages in the gallery, best apply that change to the template.

See in the manual: Special windows > Modify gallery.

Note: Development of Galerie ended years ago. It will not work (properly) with recent MacOSX versions. It may not work at all with future OSX versions.
