problem with "preferences"

I am using version 3.2.1 Beta. I cannot get any of my changes in the preferences to take. I changed the word "page" to "gallery". I also changed the date format, but neither of these show up in my files. I click "ok" after I make the changes, and if I open up the preferences dialouge box again my changes are indeed there, but they are still not showing up in the HTML. What is going on I wonder?? -s http://circumstance.org

1. About the "Page" translation Where are you expecting it to show up? "Page" is in the line that replaces $INDEX_PAGE_LIST$ in the index template which is used for navigation between the index pages: "Page 1 2 3". When you have only one index page it is not used. 2. About the date format Did you change the format using the language menu or did you use custom formatting changing the MM/DD etc? The custom date format will be used instead of the language specified formatting only when the checkbox is checked.

1. I thought that the "page" applied to each image page, and not the index. Since I only have one index page, obviously this would not change. BUT. 2. I have the "custom date format" box checked, in the language dialouge box. I changed it to DD MM YY. It does not show up this way on the HTML pages.

| I tried it and you are right. This evidently is a bug in both v3.2.1b7 and v3.2 (and maybe earlier versions). It used to work, but it is several versions ago that I beta-tested this feature for the last time.

| I tested this with Galerie 3.2, English version, no problem on my side. What language interface do you use ? Best regards

Yesterday I used only Dutch language settings in International panel in System Preferences. I tried now with both Dutch and English settings. Date formatting in Galerie does not work, not only the custom formatting does not work, but now I noticed that also the language based formatting (with the language menu in Galerie preferences) does not work. The date for pictures is displayed exactly the same regardless the settings in either System preferences or Galerie preferences: 2003-10-06 09:52:59 +0200 The date following "Generated by Galerie" follows the formatting as set in the System preferences, regardless the settings in Galerie preferences. Galerie date formatting appears not to function at all here, both in version 3.2 and version 3.2.1b7. Of course I quit and relaunched Galerie after changes in System preferences. I used different folder names for every new gallery to make sure that I was not fooled by Safari's caching. I repeated the test after deleting "com.myriad.galerie.plist" to make sure it is not a preference file corruption problem.

Hi, Interesting... I think this is a change in iPhoto. In iPhoto 2, date of photo was provided like this : 2003:10:06 09:52:59 +0200 Now it is : 2003-10-06 09:52:59 +0200 So Galerie can't extract the informations. I 'll see what I can do. Best regards

| Yes, in galleries made with this version 3.2.1B8 from pictures selected in iPhoto 4, the date is now again formatted according to the settings in Galerie preferences.
