Changer le fond d'un template

Je m'essaye à la création de Template. J'ai édité "page template.html" du modèle Nostalgia, avec golive pour changer le fond de page. J'ai créé un fond en .gif et je l'ai mis dans le dossier de mon template. Ensuite, j'ai remplacé dans golive l'ancien fichier de fond par le nouveau fichier de fond avec l'inspecteur, mais il n'apparaît pas  . La seule méthode pour que ça fonctionne a été de nommer le fichier du nouveau fond comme l'ancien. Quelqu'un aurait une explication ?
Je précise que je ne connais pas grand chose à html et juste un peu golive  . Mais pour d'autres pages, c'est la marche à suivre que j'appliquais et qui fonctionnait.

The easiest way to change the background in a web page is to replace the background picture file with another file of the same name. You can also edit the page to use a file with another name. I don't know GoLive, but any html editor is able to do that.
The Nostalgia template uses a separate style sheet outside the pages and the background picture is not only defined in the index and page template files but also in this "main.css" file. In modern browsers the style sheet information takes precedence over the old html tags. Therefore just changing the background in the pages does not change it in the viewed pages, it has to be changed in the CSS file also.

J'ai réussi à changer le fond de mon template en modifiant aussi le css. A présent, je change les boutons pour "page précédente" et "suivante". J'ai fait des rollover avec Golive. Ils fonctionnent sur Camino, mais pas sur Safari et IE. Enfin, les liens fonctionnent sur tous, mais le rollover n'est actif que sur Camino. J'ai pu le faire une fois sur Safari, j'ai donc enregistré et fermer le tempate et pof, marche plus . Enfin, ça c'est pas du ressort de galerie  . Si ça continue j'irai sur MacG  .
J'ai aussi enlevé "index" parce que je vais faire une page avec un cadre pour les vignettes. Je pense donc que le lien vers une page d'index est inutile. Me trompe-je ? Si non, peut-être que ce lien peut disparaître lorsqu'on choisit "fenêtre avec cadre". Mais bon il faudrait retoucher tous les templates pour pas grand chose. Ca vaut peut-être pas le coup .

Those are web-design problems. Maybe you should try and start with the more simple things and gradually move to more complex matters like making rollovers. Also, when you try modifying templates, start with the simpler ones that have no style sheet. If you have a special template design problem, publish the gallery and give the url here, so we can study the source to see what you have done.

I am not sure what you mean with "le lien vers une page d'index". Do you refer to what in the French version of Galerie is called "Lien sur la page principal"? It is not useless, it is meant to be used when the gallery is part of a larger site, to be able to return to the home page. Or when you let Galerie built a main index page that links to the indexpages of a number of seperate galeries, it is usefull when from the index pages of the galleries you can return to the main index page. If you do not need the link, just do not supply text in the address box and the link will not appear in the index page.

I agree with you. I think I'm going to create a template from one which has not a css to minimize the potential problems. But I don't think that the faulty operation of the rollovers is due to css. It's probably a question of a bad interpretation by Safari or IE, of the html generated by Golive. Surprisingly, I used already this sort of rollover, and it works normally. So perhaps css...
For the link to the "home page" (=lien vers une page d'index"), I realised the fonction you describe yesterday evening, and indeed, my galerie will have severals index pages. So I will recreate this link.

Je continue la création de mon template. Je suis parti d'un template existant sans .css, Aqua.
J'ai pu changer le fond de page de la page et de l'index, j'ai mis un cadre pour les images, mais juste en remettant le nom "imageback.jpg" à mon fichier et sans savoir où indiquer que c'est tel fichier qui sert de cadre. Pareil pour le cadre des vignettes.
Où faut-il indiquer ces liens ? Je n'ai pas trouvé

Tu dois donc respecter scrupuleusement le nom des fichiers et leur position dans le dossier du modèle.

OK ! Et puis c'est logique de respecter une norme en adéquation avec le manuel, si on veut ensuite proposer les templates.
