Hello list, I've just downloaded Galerie and I very much like what it does. But I have one request/question:
Galerie, like iPhoto, places the commentary below the photo: would it be possible to have an option where the comment is placed. personally, I would like it above the photo. On my web-page, the pages generated by Galerie appear in a frame below a navigation bar: unless I choose a very small picture size, or unless the surfer is using a very big screen, then they always have to scroll down to see what the text says -- in most cases, who or what the photo is about. Admittedly, I'm using a small screen (12" iBook @ 1024*76 but it annoys me.
( ps. If you want to see the page (still beta at the moment, and using the iPhoto export), it's at http://homepage.mac.com/johnpritt/prgl and click on the photo navbar button)
The layout of the pages is determined in the templates. You can make your own template or edit an existing template to have the comments anywhere you want on the pages. Study the 'Building Templates' manual and the templates, specifically the 'page template.html' files. Galerie will replace $COMMENT$ in 'page template.html' with the comments.
