image_path not defined?

Hi all,

Happy 2004! One of my resolutions was to finally publish some of the photos I keep gathering in iPhoto. That's when Gallery came along. There is no such thing as a coincidence!

Enough chitchat. Can someone tell me what I do wrong: I keep getting the error message "A variable image_path is not defined (-2753)" when I hit the "Generate HTML pages" button. I'm using version 3.1.1 b.t.w. and am using all the defaults, just the way the package was downloaded.

Your help is much appreciated,

menneke

Hi,

Do you work from an iPhoto selection or with a Drag&Drop ?
What is your Mac OS version ? Your iPhoto version ?

Hi Didier,

I'm using MacOSX.3.2 and iPhoto 2.0. The error message appeared when I selected an album (not a group of photos). It did this consistently. After testing with dropping folders (which went fine) and selecting groups of photos instead of albums (which went fine too) I took my wife for dinner and shutdown my computer. This morning I restarted and wanted to cointinue my experiments when I discovered to my amazement that it took an album as input and generated the HTML fine.

I'm feeling a little bit foolish now, but I'm sure I did everything exactly the same way. Maybe it was rebooting that did it?
Ah well, thanks anyway, it works now.

Hi,

Sometimes the communications via AppleScript between iPhoto and Galerie are strange. Galerie send a request and iPhoto don't provide the right informations.

For example (in rare case), you rotate an image in iPhoto and when Galerie ask the image, iPhoto provide the previous image version (unrotated)...

I suppose this is some little iPhoto bugs, which will be fixed in the new update (iPhoto 4)

Best regards

I am having the same problem on an ibook 900mhz/256k/40gb/OSx2.8 dragging photos from iPhoto and trying to use mac.com homepage. A few questions: A. How to publish at all    B. Will the Gallerie pages coexist with the first 4 homepages of .mac and site menu or do I start over? or use Galerie as a separate site. C.Will the first page be index.html and a site menu or a gallery page(makes difference in pictures chosen)? Also will I keep the same (already linked address?) I also use an iblog for photos and pictures and can't make it link from the PhotoAlbum page but links to it. Following advice in the forums I downloaded Mozilla and cant stop using it over Safari & Explorer. Thanks! I looked at RBrowser.com per the forums but have not downloaded as it is still beyond me as is Moszilla's Composer (for now) I'd be a newbie but I am nearly 60 with a fatal heart condition so it is not appropriate. How about just computer-stupid? Thanks for any help. Would love to try Galerie with iBlog and link it all together.  Merci.

Hi,

Unfortunately, when Apple bring .Mac to a paying service I didn't buy it, so I don't know how .Mac work.
May be a .Mac user will be able to help you here ?

Thank you for answering but if I cant use .mac; what is the alternative? Does Mozilla's Composer work to publish or RBrowser and Mozilla? There must be a way or there wouldnt be so many other pages published (and yes I will ask dotmac.info. Mozilla/RBrowser were your suggestions-how is the path defined with them?

Hi,

If you have a web site, I suppose you have an FTP access to it.
Galerie can post the gallery using FTP on your web site.
