I don't know how to differentiate the sound of the  French Horn and bass because of their similar sound.
Any Idea?

the question is in french horn lower region it sounds kinda bass .
I want to change Horn sound adding some methal flavour to it.
(Quiero que el corno suene un poco mas metálico, como en los registros altos)

Is it possible?

I Don't understand really what you are talking about. There is a "bass" in many sets of instruments.

Is this about an HA piece? Then you'd better join it.

In many cases, different instruments of the same family have the same sound quality, and differ only by their frequency scope - at least when synthetized.

Indeed, André

My ear is not attuned to atonal jazz, with the result that I can pick-out neither music nor instruments.

With jazz I would expect to hear a string bass, having a sound like "thunk", that then rapidly decays.

I suspect that I am hearing a synthesizer for both instruments, which may explain why you cannot differentiate them.

Who says that this a French Horn?
